Founded in 1961, District Moving has over 50 years of experience in the moving, storage, and office relocation industry. We are a young and dynamic company that employs over 75 full-time employees including local veterans who specialize in residential relocation for military personnel and government office re-locations including the US House of Representatives, F.E.M.A, FAA and Johns Hopkins Hospital. Our employees are well versed in all aspects of the moving process and put industry specific knowledge to work for our clients every day. District Moving Company’s investment in Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology as well as moving and storage equipment and a fleet of over the road vehicles, allows us to operate a GSA and military certified 120,000 square foot modern warehouse facility that can house records, office and medical supplies, furniture, and freight. Running on a Wide Area Network (WAN), our dispatch system permits staff members to access District Moving resources anytime and enables us to quickly react to changing customer needs from one central location. As result, we are able to offer clients, such as the US House of Representatives, nearly seamless office relocation services during congressional transitions and presidential inaugurations. It also allows us to provide our military personnel with stress free residential re-locations.
